FAQ
How many curtain panels are included in one order?
Each listing includes one curtain panel. If you want a pair, please order two panels.
What curtain width should I choose for my window?
Choose panel widths so the total curtain width is at least 1.5x the rod width (2x for a fuller style). Each curtain is hand-cut and made, so a 0.5-1 in (1-3 cm) size variation may occur. View curtain size guide
Should I choose 84/86 inch or 94/96 inch curtains?
84/86 inch suits standard 8 ft ceilings, where the rod sits 4 to 6 inches above the window frame. 94/96 inch suits 9 ft ceilings for the same floor-skimming fit. Measure from the underside of the rod to the floor: 84 to 85 inches → 84 inch; 86 to 87 inches → 86 inch. The same pattern applies to the longer pair (94 to 95 → 94, 96 to 97 → 96). Both lengths are unlined and share the same fabric options.
How many curtain panels do I need for one window?
Most windows look best with 2 panels (one on each side). Use a total curtain width of 1.5x to 2x your rod width for a fuller look. Since each listing is for one panel, order the number you need. View curtain size guide
What hanging style does this curtain use?
The default is a rod pocket. If you prefer grommets or hook tape, please leave a note at checkout.
Rod Pocket
Fits rods up to 1.25 inches in diameter. The rod slides through a sewn channel at the top of the panel, so the fabric gathers into soft, even folds when it is pushed onto the rod. Because the header is folded back on itself, rod pocket works best with light to medium fabrics — heavy fabric makes the channel bulky and harder to slide. The gathered top is fixed once the panel is on the rod, so panels open and close by hand along the rod rather than gliding on rings.
Grommets
1.55 inch inner diameter, fits rods up to 1.5 inches. Grommets are pressed into the header at even intervals, so the panel hangs in consistent folds and slides easily along the rod. They suit medium to heavy fabrics and are the practical choice for windows that are opened and closed daily. Grommet material and color may vary and cannot be specified.
Hooks
The hook tape band along the header is white. A 55 inch curtain panel uses approximately 7-8 hooks. (Due to shipping conditions, metal hooks are not included.)
What light-filtering level should I choose?
All our curtains are unlined, so light control comes from the fabric weave and color. Sheer and lace diffuse daylight with minimal privacy. Light filtering fabrics (cotton, linen, cotton-linen blend, polyester blend) reduce glare while keeping the room bright, and darker tones in the same fabric let less light through. For stronger control, layer a denser panel over a sheer on a double rod. See more details.
How do I choose the right curtain length?
Measure from the top of where the curtain hangs down to your desired end point: sill, apron, floor, or puddle.
Sill Length
Ends at the windowsill for a clean and practical look (often used in kitchens).
Apron Length
Ends 4-6 in (10-15 cm) below the sill for a casual style.
Floor Length
Ends just above the floor (about 0.5-1 in / 1-2.5 cm) for a tailored look.
Puddle Length
Extra 1-3 in (2.5-7.5 cm) on the floor for a soft, decorative finish.
How do I wash and care for these curtains?
Hand wash recommended; gentle machine wash cold is OK. Lay flat to dry, avoid exposure to the sun.
Do you offer custom curtain sizes, and can I return them?
Yes, we offer custom sizes beyond the listed options—message us with your window measurements for a quote. Custom items are made to your specifications and cannot be resold, so returns and exchanges are not accepted unless there is a quality issue.
Do the curtain color and size match the photos?
Colors can vary slightly by screen and dye lot; we cut panels from the same lot when possible. Dimensions may vary by 0.5 to 1.5 inches due to manual cutting, fabric stretch, and inch-to-centimeter conversion.
